This beautiful Eye of Buddha necklace is a Tibetan, Nepalese Gao prayer box is made from Tibetan silver.
Also known as 'Wisdom Eyes', the Buddha eyes are one of the most prevalent symbol in Nepal.
They represent the all seeing eyes of the Buddha. In between the eyes the curly line is the Nepali character for the number 1 and represents unity and 'the way' of reaching enlightenment.
Above, the third eye, which is the symbol of wisdom and spiritual 'seeing' of 'what is'.
The Tibetan prayer box is used for protection and in many Buddhist rituals.
In Tibet and Nepal, these prayer boxes would have herbs, sacred scrolls, ashes and other types of items that are blessed by monks.
